You haven't made very much progress exploring the ship when you see the body of the Android, laying on the floor. Judging by its position, it was attempting to reach the exit bay by any means. One arm stretched out further then the other - it's last moments spent dragging itself across the floor before succumbing to the enveloping darkness.
