> (01:30) Prioritize Shields
Power is siphoned evenly from all sources into the Glimmer's shields. This allows you more than enough time to get a proper analysis of the enemy vessel, as its weapons slowly begin to fire up. Pirates are a dime a dozen in interstellar space. Usually they are only an issue for civilian vehicles or those without proper defense mechanisms. Unfortunately, you've come across one of the more concerning variants: Pirate Androids. Unlike their fleshy counterparts, Androids are capable of near instantaneous calculations, aided by enhanced visual and spatial processing alongside incredible strength. Rarely does it matter why they attack, as the usual priority when encountering them is to terminate or escape.
Your scans show that this is only a single unit, allowing you an extra inch of breathing room. Their weapons make contact with your shields, though at this rate you could walk away and get a coffee if you felt so inclined. Whatever ship was hijacked by the rogue Android doesn't appear to have much in terms of firepower. You consider your options:
> Keep Shields Up (Cost: 0.5 hours)
> Return Fire (Cost: 0.25 hours)
> Attempt to Escape (Cost: 0.25 hours)
